Facebook Warning |
![]() ![]() ![]() Just a warning regarding the ever-increasing popular site called Facebook.com and other worldly Internet meeting places - IT IS NOT FOR CHRISTIANS - intermingling and fellowshipping with the World and the things of the World. Absolutely no place for adults, young people or children. Consumer Magazine in their June 2009 issue; and Readers Digest in their July 2009 issue cautioned users re Internet Social Networking sites such as Facebook and MyLife.com, etc.. In it's November 28th issue and on the front page, the local Newspaper here issued a warning about the potential dangers of these sites. I had been invited by a number of friends and "Believers" to join them on Face-book. With much hesitation I did register. My hesitation was found to be justified when recently I discovered pictures and video clips of nudity and VERY SICK pornography. Also, don't forget the "worldly" advertizing one has to put up with. Since such porn content has been declared to be "against" the rules of Face-book, I did contact their representatives a couple of days ago. They requested and were provided with the URLs containing the offensive material. On November 01, 07 they advised me that the material would be removed; and it was possible that those responsible would have their membership terminated. Before terminating my membership I checked back two or three times but the offensive material had not been removed. It's is virtually impossible to control such a vast number of people. The site is a trap of the Devil and is bound to be perverted and contaminated by those influenced by demon powers. It is just another "Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil" to ensnare Christians. I caution all professing Christians to avoid the Face-book web site. There are better ways of communicating in a Christ-like manner. Pictures and Voice contact with other believers or family is possible via the Internet WITHOUT getting involved in sites like Facebook which are filled with the Devil's garbage. Get out of it before you become addicted to it and possessed by the "spirit" which governs it. There are regular chat programs; and pictures can be exchanged by regular email or Internet cams. Seek out "Christian" Friends in Christ to fellowship with. REMEMBER Paul's exhortation: "Abstain from all appearance of evil." Ist. Thessalonians 5:22
"whatsoever
things are true, whatsoever things are
honest, whatsoever things are
just,
whatsoever things are
pure, whatsoever things are
lovely, whatsoever things are
of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on
these things."
